Project to assess the quality of antenatal care in the primary health care system

Within the framework of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 12, 2020 No. 6110 UP “On the introduction of completely new mechanisms in the activities of primary health care institutions and measures to further improve the effectiveness of reforms carried out in the healthcare system”, a number of employees of the Tashkent Medical Academy, with the support of the Ministry of Health and the cooperation of the staff of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 2 the project “Assessment of primary health care and patronage services in the field of health protection of women of reproductive age” was completed.

This event was opened by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, DSc, Prof. Basitkhanova Elmira Irkinovna also stressed the importance of concrete work on the formation of a modern system of primary health care, prevention and early detection of diseases, training of qualified medical personnel, and the introduction of new management in the industry within the framework of the reform of the healthcare system of Uzbekistan. Chief obstetrician-gynecologist of the city of Tashkent, DSc, Assoc. Prof. Abdullayeva Lola Mirzatullayevna, continuing her speech, spoke about improving the quality, effectiveness and popularity of primary health care to the population, strengthening the role and status of medical workers in society.

Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 2, DSc, Prof. Najmutdinova Dilbar Kamariddinovna in her lectures, analyzed the activities of the primary health care service in providing prenatal care to pregnant women and providing gynecological consultations to women of reproductive age within the framework of the project to assess the quality of prenatal care in the primary health care system. Monitoring of the primary health care system was carried out in a number of Family polyclinics and SVP of the Republic: the cities of Tashkent and Termez, Chinoz, Akhangaron, Bekabad districts of Tashkent region and Denovsky, Sherabad, Kumkurgan districts of Surkhandarya region. The staff of the department, Gulnoza Tulkunovna Juraeva and Iroda Ablurasulovna Kamilova, also told in their lectures about the quality of medical services in the field of prenatal care and how satisfied the population is with these services according to the results of special surveys.

In order to qualitatively increase the effectiveness of the reforms carried out in the health system to a new level:

* attraction of existing forces and means;

* Comprehensive strengthening of primary health care;

* introduction of a completely new system of medical prevention and patronage services;

* building a holistic system of healthy lifestyle formation and ensuring public health of the population, covering it at the district and family level;

*special attention at the state level is paid to the systematic organization and wide promotion of a healthy lifestyle and increased physical activity.

Speaking about the goals of improving the efficiency of the reforms carried out in the health care system to a qualitatively new level, as a result of the work carried out within the framework of the project and the event, recommendations were developed on providing gynecological care to pregnant and reproductive women in primary medical and sanitary care.
