The main base of the chair is a maternity hospital # 2 of Tashkent Medical Academy. Clinical base of the department completely fit the profile of training, part of the emergency and routine gynecological and obstetrical services, practical health care. The department has also actively used in the educational process Computing and presentation equipment. Most lectures and seminars prepared electronically using the new teaching technologies and shot of educational films in the department. Planned gradual upgrade teaching and laboratory equipment are carried out. Over the past five years has repeatedly been modernized existing equipment to meet the growing challenges. All the planned transfer of demonstration material with tables, overhead projectors for multimedia presentations were implemented. Particular attention in the teaching of obstetrics and gynecology is given daily control of students’ knowledge, conducting theoretical seminars, after a preliminary analysis of patients on this topic with practical skills.

7 course classes are held on the subject of «Obstetrics and Gynecology».

       The purpose of training of students – is to prepare for self- management of normal pregnancy and pregnancy complications and extra compensation stage diseases, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of obstetric complications, threatened conditions of the fetus and newborn, major gynecological diseases, emergency assistance in case of prehospital emergency, rehabilitation after pathological childbirth and gynecological diseases and interventions for reproductive health and family planning .


– Develop skills in conducting of physiological pregnancy, pregnancy with complications and extragenital diseases in the stage of compensation ;

– Train the terms and criteria of hospitalization of pregnant women with complicated pregnancy and extragenital pathology;

– Teach diagnostics, emergency assistance, as well as timely and safe administration of patients in higher-level care.

– To develop skills in diagnosis, medical examination and treatment of uncomplicated major gynecological diseases;

– Develop knowledge and skills in counseling on all methods of contraception and skills for insertion and removal of IUD, family planning and safe motherhood.

– Teach the diagnosis and emergency assistance to states threatened the fetus and newborn
