On the initiative of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Family Medicine of the Tashkent Medical Academy, a scientific and practical conference with international participation on the topic “CESAREAN SECTION was held on 21.10.2023. A SAFE SOLUTION OR A THREAT TO THE FUTURE.”
According to the World Health Organization, today in the world the proportion of children born by caesarean section is 20 percent. If this process continues, this figure could reach 30 percent by 2030. Although in recent years, Cesarean section has become an “epidemic” among pregnant women in most countries of the world. Of course, modern surgical approaches, thanks to effective painkillers and antibiotics, allow this operation to be performed with minimal risk to mother and child.
During the conference program, topical problems of Cesarean section practice in obstetric practice were revealed by domestic and foreign specialists at the present time. The scientific and practical conference with international participation was opened by the Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of TMA Boymurodov Sh.A. Professor of the Bukhara State Medical Institute Nematillayeva M.N. told about the spread and validity of Cesarean section in Uzbekistan. Leading specialists of prestigious medical institutes and centers of the Russian Federation read interesting reports on new directions in the practice of Cesarean section, management of women with uterine scar, complications and prevention, postoperative rehabilitation. During the conference, information about the role of the use of artificial intelligence in the observation of women after Cesarean section aroused great scientific interest among the audience. At the end of the conference, the head of the department, Prof. Najmutdinova D.K. she spoke in detail about the technologies used to reduce the frequency of cesarean section operations.
In conclusion, it should be noted that the scientific and practical conference was useful from a scientific and practical point of view to the staff of TMA departments, clinic doctors, masters and clinical residents, students. It is important to remember that a Cesarean section is a surgical intervention. For this reason, it is recommended to carry it out only for medical reasons.
